KTB expands campaign in Russia in bid to increase numbers

The Kenya Tourism Board has increased its marketing campaigns in Russia in a bid to lure more tourists to the country.

Wildlife lovers will from Tuesday the 20th September 2016 start viewing live global transmissions of the wildebeest migration spectacle on two online channels through Youtube and Facebook. This is aimed at luring more visitors to kenya for the authentic African Safari experience.

The streaming will be available form the WorldEarth's SafariLive youtube channel and on Herdtracker's facebook page from Kenya's Maasai Mara national reserve between 1300hrs GMT and 2000hrs GMT daily from September 20th to 25th september 2016.

The Wildebeest migrations is one of nature's greatest spectacles and the river crossings remains the biggest reason why thousands of travellers flock the Maasai Mara every year.

Mr. Hillary N. Kyengo, Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation, and Mr. Guzhelya Dmitriy Yurievich, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, with other officials during the meeting.

 

24th August, 2016 Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya held a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), Mr. Guzhelya Dmitriy Yuryevich. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the prominent universities of Moscow, such as Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, National University of Science and Technology “MIS&S”, Moscow Technological University and Pushkin Institute of Russian language and staff of Rossotrudnichestvo.

KENYAN TEAM TO THE OLYMPICS

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, 23rd July 2016 handed over the national flag to Rio 2016 Olympics games national team.

"Kenya has a strong tradition of proud, clean and successful competition in the Olympics. It is your turn to take this heritage even higher and make your brothers and sisters proud of their nation and their flag. Go out there and show how Kenya can do it. Show them we can win clean, even if we don't win, show them we can play clean". said the President.

NOTICEKenyans in the Russian Federation, Republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine who have not yet registered with the Embassy should do so at the earliest opportunity.
