Ambassador B.H.O. Ogutu visit to Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan of Russian Federation

At the invitation of JSC Electroshield Company, His Excellency Benson H. O. Ogutu, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Olyviah, Ambassador Joshua M. Mugodo, Deputy Head of Mission and other members of staff visited the Republic of Tatarstan, a constituent republic of the Russian Federation on Monday, 12 – Friday, 16 April, 2021.

On arrival Amb. Ogutu and his delegation was received by Mr. D. N. Roslov, Founder of JSC Electroshield and Mr. R. A. Bilalov, the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The delegation visited various firms and establishments of the JSC Electroshield distributed within Tatarstan Republic.

In a well-organized programme, Ambassador Ogutu accompanied with H.E. Major General (Retired) Mike Sango, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Johnson Olwa, Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda and Ambassador Joshua Mugodo, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Kenya and other members of the delegation paid a courtesy call on H. E. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan Republic on Thursday, 15th April, 2021. The discussion during the courtesy call centered on existing cordial relations between Russia and Kenya and also the relations between Russia – Africa after the successful holding of the First Russia – Africa Summit and Economic Forum in October, 2019. The President extended an invitation to Ambassador Ogutu and Kenyan Companies to participate at the 12th International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World Kazan Summit 2021” scheduled for July, 2021.

H.E. B.H.O. Ogutu accompanied by Amb. Joshua Mugodo and Mr. Maurice O. A. Okoth also met and held discussions with Mr. Ronald Kipngeno and Simon Kirubi Mburu, Kenyan students in Kazan on Thursday, 15th April, 202. He encouraged them to put effort in their studies as it is the most profitable opportunity for them to contribute to nation building of Kenya as responsible citizens.

Also in the delegation were staff from the Embassy including Mr. Maurice O. A. Okoth, Minister Consul-General, Mrs. Winnie Mwanjala, Minister Counsellor and Mrs. Stellah Nguri, Financial Attaché.
