On 2nd August, 2019 Charge D’Affaires held a meeting with the Working Group on Cooperation in the Mineral Sector of the Russian-Ugandan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya. The Working Group expressed interest in widening economic relations in the East African Community and proposed cooperation with the Republic of Kenya.
During the meeting the Parties discussed the possibility of having a comprehensive approach in Russia-Kenya bilateral relations in the areas of Agriculture, Mining and Resource Exploration, Energy, Environment and Security sectors.
