The Charge d’Affaires visited Ufa to support Children from Kenya who took part in the 53rd International Children’s Games that were held from 9th to 14th July 2019.
The International Children's Games (ICG) is an International Olympic Committee-sanctioned event held every year where children from cities around the world, between the ages of 12 and 15 participate in a variety of sports and cultural activities. The 1st games were held in 1968 in Celje, Yugoslavia.
This year, the international games attracted teams from over 84 towns and 29 countries. Kenya was the only country from Africa to send a team to Russia. 1192 Children (669 boys and 523 girls) attended the games together with 347 team leaders, coaches, trainers and official representatives.
