Kenya opened her Embassy in Moscow, USSR in 1964 just after attaining her independence from Britain in 1963 It is one of the oldest African Embassies in Russia. The Embassy is accredited to the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Kenya and the Russian Federation enjoy cordial relations. The Mission's mandate is to forge closer relations between the people of Kenya and the people of Russia in pursuit of deeper bilateral and multilateral cooperation in trade and investments, education, culture, science and technology as well as other fields for mutual benefit. The Embassy establishes and maintains contacts with Kenyans living, studying and working in the Russian Federation and countries of accreditation and provides them with general information concerning the host country as well as other immigration and consular services.
