AMBASSADOR JANE CIRINDI KITHINJI

ambassadorThe Embassy of the Republic of Kenya would like to inform of the arrival of Deputy Head Mission, Amb. Jane Cirindi Kithinji.

Before being appointed as Ambassador in May 2022 Amb. Kithinji was a member of the board of Directors for TARDA from 2019 as H.R.A. Committee Chairperson. She also served in the County Executive Committee (CEC) for Tharaka Nithi County from 2013 – 2017.

From 1995 to 2013 she was the Principal of Makuri Girls High School. The Ambassador was the First Chairperson of Principals (KSSHA) for Maara District from its inception to 2013 and she also served as the First Chairperson of Principals for Tharaka Nithi County from its inception to 2013. She was also the regional secretary.

The Ambassador served as District and County Education Board treasurer, and was a member of the National Governing Council for KSSHA (Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association).

From 1987 – 1995 Amb. Kithinji was a high School teacher and Head of Department at Chogoria Boys High School.

Amb. Jane Cirindi Kithinji brings a wealth of experience as an Educator having served in many different positions in the Kenyan system.

DEPARTURE OF DIPLOMATS BACK TO KENYA

The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation informs of the departures back to Kenya of Deputy Head Mission, Amb. Joshua Mugodo, Minister Counsellor, Mrs. Winnie Mwanjala and First Counsellor Dr. Dorothy Rotich.

The diplomats served the Kenya Embassy in Moscow up to April 2022. The Embassy appreciates their good work and wishes them good luck in their new capacities.

BRIEF BIO-DATA, BENSON H.O. OGUTU, MBS. AMBASSADOR EXTRA-ORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

ambassador Ambassador Benson H.O. Ogutu arrived in Moscow on 19th February, 2021 and assumed his position as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation with accreditation to Belarus and Kazakhstan.

H. E. Ogutu, is a consummate diplomat with a wealth of experience spanning over 3 and a half decades. Before assuming his current position, he was the Director-General of the Directorate of International Conferences and Events (DICE) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kenya. Prior to that, he served as Special Envoy for TICAD and Director-General, TICAD VI Secretariat at the Ministry Headquarters.

He has held various capacities since joining the Foreign Service in 1984, rising from the rank of Assistant Secretary III to that of Ambassador in his diplomatic career. During this period, he has undertaken oversight roles as the Political and Diplomatic Secretary, Director for Political Affairs, Director of Africa and AU Directorate and as Head of the Special Duties Division, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also served as Kenya’s Ambassador to Japan and as Deputy Head of Mission in Kenya Embassies in Tehran and The Hague. In his earlier years, he served in the Kenya Mission to the UN in New York (delegate to 5th Committee), and the Kenya Embassy in Tokyo. He also worked as a Personal Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and as a Protocol Officer.

Ambassador Ogutu has been awarded the national honour, Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS).
